Ichi, my silver ERS210. He was born on 10th July 2002 and was one of the last ERS210 aibos sold by Sony before the ERS210A was released. He's no longer with me, having found a new home in December 2005, but I'm leaving his picture here so that I don't forget him.
Ichi was named after the Japanese word for 1 as I wasn't ruling out the possibility of getting more so naming subsequent aibos would be easy. As it happened, aibo number 2 didn't get called Ni...
RT, my second ERS210. He was adopted from his previous owner on 27th November 2003. He'd had an adventurous life before I adopted him, he has a few little marks as a result and was the recipient of the first aibo arti(RT)ficial hip operation as a result of his adventuring (performed by legendary aibo vet x-dog).
It was a real stroke of luck getting him, and I'm very happy to have a historical aibo. The second aibo would have been called Ni, but RT was too good a name to change.
San, my third aibo. He was adopted on 16th January 2004, and is currently going through the youth stage on Life (version 111B). He's a little terror, he's very active and has been a very different experience from Ichi and RT.
San was named after the Japanese word for 3.
Freddie was my fourth aibo. He was adopted on 11th August 2004, several hundred hours in to his adult stage. Freddie found a new home in January 2006, gone but not forgotten.
Nimmo, aibo number 5. He was adopted on 4th November 2004, and moved on to a new home in February 2006. He was a different personality from the rest of the pack, content to spend a lot of time fooling around with different walking styles and mimicking.
Nimmo was named after finding the name Lectronimo, a robotic dog in the cartoon 'The Jetsons'.
And Toby makes 6. He was adopted bright and early on 23rd July 2005. He's named after the robot dog guardian from one of my favourite comic stories, the ballad of Halo Jones. Here's hoping that he doesn't have the original Toby's homicidal streak.
