Buggies Settings


This page is intended to serve as an archive of settings for users of the Buggies series of programs for the Psion Series 3, Series 5 and revo machines (and the various versions of those machines).  If anyone has got any settings they think other people would find useful then mail them to me and I'll include them here.

Before the settings themselves here is a brief explanation of each setting:-

Name

The name of the car

Default Pinion

The pinion gear that is normally used in the car

Default Spur

The spur gear that is normally used in the car

Internal Ratio

Determined by dividing the number of teeth on the differential gear by the number of teeth on the layshaft for belt driven cars, a little more complicated for gear driven cars depending on the size of the gear train

Default Tyre Diameter

The diameter of the tyres normally fitted (in millimetres).  In the case of 2WD cars it refers to the diameter of the tyres that drive the car

Smallest Pinion

The smallest pinion available for the car

Largest Pinion

The largest pinion available for the car

Smallest Spur

The smallest spur available for the car

Largest Spur

The largest spur available for the car

Teeth Between Spurs

The number of teeth between spurs designed for the car, e.g. Schumacher gears used to be 3 teeth apart so you'd get 89, 92, 95 and 98 tooth spurs.
